We can also provide ports and shipping day which is specific to the ports and shipping industries. We are also running health and safety courses in manual handling, first aid and fire training. SPA PASSPORT SCHEME:
This scheme has been designed to ensure that workers have health and safety training for their industry sector. It is welcomed by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), the Health and Safety Commission (HSC) and the Environmental Agencies. The program helps promote good practice and may help reduce accidents and ill health caused through work.
The passport is designed to be used by clients seeking assurance on levels of employee/contractor health and safety awareness. The course offers practical health and safety training supplemented with safety training tailored to their sector.
Successful trainees are issued with a robust passport photo card which is tamper‐proof, secure and easy to verify. The nationally‐recognised scheme reflects HSE guidance and is supported by numerous work sectors.
Who is the qualification for?
There are no entrance criteria.
How is the course assessed?
Normally a two day training package within a classroom environment, either in our own training facility or at your site.

Manual handling activities are the cause of numerous accidents in the workplace and also long term disorders such as back pain and reduced mobility. This 1 day course will enable delegates to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer methods and tasks in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.
Who is the qualification for?
All levels of staff whose work involves manual handling. The course is useful for managers and supervisors, enhancing their understanding of current legislation.

No prior knowledge or qualification is necessary.
How is the course assessed?
A variety of methods are used, including practical assessments in the workplace, case studies, exercises and videos.

1 day at our training facility in Stockton-On-Tees, Middlesbrough or on site at your premises.
Certification: On successful completion of the course, delegates receive a certificate of attendance which may be used for Continued Professional Development (CPD) or supporting evidence towards an NVQ.

Each unit is assessed by a practical assignment. There is a multiple choice assessment which covers the knowledge and understanding of four of the units. The assessment can be taken online or paper based. The delivery of the training will be tailored to your requirements and may take place at our training facility in Stockton‐On‐Tees, Middlesbrough or on site at your premises.
